I added the exclamation mark between rec and the field name and it works. Branden, I will try the sql for another update I have to do.

Hi, I need help and I have no experience with recordsets. The main one has a yes/no field with a default value to yes (checked box). I checked if the recordset is updatable (if rec.updatable = true then...) and ran the code step by step. I have a payroll database that keeps track of flex time hours, after the update query runs it sets a yes/no value to true so the database ignores the record from then on.

If you want the object literal back from the Recordset, simply use the method if you only want a specific property back.

Not passing in an argument returns the entire object bag that the record is holding on to.

If the user selects the row again from the grid or sorts from the column header, the modified field is marked as dirty. There are two buttons on the grid; they both increment the age of "Lisa", but the "Single Param" button uses the single-argument format for record.set(), while the "Double Param" uses the two-argument format.

Recordset-base provides an API for adding, removing and updating record(s).

It also creates a hash table of all the records by their IDs, to allow for fast retrieval.
